So this is where we're at . . . 28/05/2008

Its been a few weeks, so I thought that I would take this quiet time at work to update the site and let you know whats been happening and where we're at!!

The house is coming along well . . . we into the final phase of the construction process which is exciting . . . although its getting tough having to pay 90% of the mortgage as well as paying rent, but hopefully it will only be another 6-8 weeks!

At the moment, the house is 'locked up' so we weren't able to gain access on the weekend . . . so no more new pictures at the moment. The painters were in last weekand are due to finish up this week, then the electrician will go back and install the light points etc and our appliances/taps/sinks etc will be installed. Its all very exciting.

We went out yesterday morning (Tuesday) before work and met with the tilers (called Lozza & Mossa believe it or not). That visit was good as we were able to get into the house and we got to see the tiles for the bathrooms/wet area's that we selected many moons ago!! It was exciting to see what colour tile would be going where, and of course deciding how we wanted it all laid out!! COOL!!! : )

Although when the builders are finished, the work only starts for us!! We have decided to do our own flooring (as the builders were trying to rip us off price wise for crap products). We've decided on solid timber floors throughout the main part of the house and carpet to the bedrooms/rumpus/sitting room areas . . . more money!!! AAARRRGGGHHH hehehe

We don't plan on having much of a driveway/gardens/pool for some time . . . this will be one of our many projects to complete over the next few years!!!!

So I will leave it here for the moment . . . now you know what I know!! : D

Wow, look at that, we've got more photo's up and we didn't make you all wait a whole month for them!! Aren't we getting organised?!? Or maybe we're just getting REALLY excited as we seem to on the 'home stretch' (hhehhehe).

You may notice that there are not as many pictures this time as what there was last time . . . reason being, there is only so much work they can do in a week . . .

This picture shows my darling Linc standing in our kitchen. I've decided to slowly 'socialise' Lincoln to the kitchen during the construction phase, so that when the building is complete, it will feel like the place where he belongs!

This is another picture of Linc. This time he is standing in the doorway to the rumpus room . . . or his playstation room as he occassionally calls it!! I think he's checking to make sure the coast is clear and that the immediate area is 'girl free'! heheh
